Whilst we could have opted for implants, in a young (under 50) patient, this risks failure of the implants during the retirement years, and difficult revision treatment. This reconstruction involved multiple root canal treatments, a trial period with temporary crowns, and the removal of one tooth that could not be saved, before definitive porcelain crown and bridgework was placed. These types of treatments depend on optimal dental hygiene, professional hygiene support, and a balanced diet low in refined sugars, if they are to be successful in the long-term.
